Sinclair Tech Team Becomes NRA Certified Reloading Instructors
We are proud to announce that the Sinclair International Reloading Technician team has become NRA Certified Metallic Reloading Instructors. Our entire team of technicians and their supervisor have studied and passed the required course of study established by the NRA Education/Training Department.
Each individual studied the appropriate literature distributed by the NRA, and passed the final exam to become certified to train and educate individuals (who would become NRA certified reloaders), in the process of metallic cartridge reloading. Areas covered include reloading standards and procedures, reloading equipment, and NRMA and SAAMI safety guidelines.
Becoming certified instructors adds value to Sinclair’s experienced tech team that will insure and give confidence to any individual who utilizes their technical services. The fact that the reloading information the caller is receiving is coming from a dedicated and certified reloading instructor gives confidence that only safe and accurate data is given.
Part of Sinclair International’s mission statement is as follows: “offer exceptional customer service, serve as a broad based knowledge center, and to continue to be active in the shooting community”. Through adding these certifications Sinclair has added value and reinforcement to their mission. The plan and goals of the team is to spread knowledge to the shooting/reloading public, and the rest of the staff at Sinclair.
National Rifle Association certified instructors teach students the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe and proficient use of firearms and the reloading process. Courses in reloading as well and many other areas of the shooting sports are available through NRA programs across the United States. For information on course availability go to http://www.nrahq.org/education/index.asp.

THE RELOADING DOCTORS ARE IN! The Sinclair International NRA Certified Metallic Reloading Instructors are waiting to answer any of your reloading questions (From L to R) Ron Dague, Pete Petros (Call Center Supervisor), Phil Hoham, Bob Blaine, and Rod Green (In Front)

Review of Hornady Comparator
Decided to run a test to see if “very carefully” bumping the bullet changes the neck tension there by changing the velocity / vertical. Ran two 7 shot groups of bullets thru my Oehler Chronograph jumping them .015”. Group 1 was bumped to get run out to .001″ or less. Group 2 were as reloaded with max run out of .003″. At 300 yards group 1 came in with an extreme spread of 23.0fps and less than 1/4 moa. Group 2 came in with an extreme spread of 33.0fps and greater than 1/2 moa. Another 7 shot higher velocity group that was bumped to less than .001″ run out and jumped .015” came in with an extreme spread of 4.0fps a 0001 standard deviation and less than 1/4 moa. Question answered.
