Review of Hornady Comparator

Decided to run a test to see if “very carefully” bumping the bullet changes the neck tension there by changing the velocity / vertical. Ran two 7 shot groups of bullets thru my Oehler Chronograph jumping them .015”. Group 1 was bumped to get run out to .001" or less. Group 2 were as reloaded with max run out of .003". At 300 yards group 1 came in with an extreme spread of 23.0fps and less than 1/4 moa. Group 2 came in with an extreme spread of 33.0fps and greater than 1/2 moa. Another 7 shot higher velocity group that was bumped to less than .001" run out and jumped .015” came in with an extreme spread of 4.0fps a 0001 standard deviation and less than 1/4 moa. Question answered.
