We all know how difficult it’s been to secure a case of primers within the last 15+ months. Federal, CCI, and to a lesser extent, Winchester, have all been non-existent. Through all of the shortages, hoarding, and finger pointing, Remington is one of the few manufacturers that have continued to allocate a portion of their primer manufacturing to the reloader and hobbyist. Let’s extend our appreciation by supporting one of the industry’s most successful manufacturers, Remington, at every opportunity available. 

Currently, we have Remington rifle primers in a variety of sorts; Small Rifle, Small Rifle Bench Rest, and Large Rifle. Remington pistol primers have become more readily available recently. However, our inventory on pistol primers was exhausted over the past weekend (3/14).

Primers from other manufacturers that are currently in stock are the Wolf Small Rifle .223 Rem Primer, Wolf Small Rifle Magnum, and Winchester Large Rifle. The Wolf .223 primer is designed with a harder cup to withstand potential slam-fires in the AR15/M16 and other automatic firearms. We’ve found this to be an exceptional primer for high-volume shooters. The Small Rifle Magnum is a “hotter” primer for use in extreme weather conditions and with slower burning powders.
