Fellow Shooters

Walking around our customer service and technician area this morning I really took notice on how much our staff enjoys helping our customers with their needs. Their enthusiasm and passion for our sport is really contagious. It doesn’t matter whether it is a technician helping someone understand how to bell the mouth of a case or working with a customer to select the correct size bushing or one of our outstanding customer service representatives finding out when an order will be shipping. They all are individuals that want to do everything they can within their power to help you get the most enjoyment out of your hobby. So don’t hesitate to give this team a call, they get a tremendous amount of satisfaction in helping you enjoy your sport! Its not hard though because they love the sport and I’ll let you in on a secret – its easy because we have the best customers in the world! You folks help us with product selection, you give us insight on new products we may not know about, you tell us of your needs that lead to new product design and yes, you even tell us when we have made a mistake!

As I write this message our big catalog #2010-B is at the printer. We should be mailing out catalogs to you near the end of the month and hopefully you will see it arrive in your mailbox in the beginning of October. We have added a lot of new products that are a direct response to your input and requests.

Whether you are a hunter, competition shooter or just enjoy a nice day at the range the fall season is one of my favorite times to shoot. It also is a good time to start planning for the winter season with respect to reloading and new gun building projects. Begin your planning now and take inventory of what you will need for your reloading activities during the winter months. In my own case, I have a lot of 308 Winchester, 6.5/284, 6mm PPC, and 6 BR brass to prep and reload. I also have plenty of 12 gauge and 20 gauge shotshells to load for my local winter league in both trap and skeet. Nothing like getting out on a nice brisk Saturday afternoon in the winter to break some birds. So I am preparing my shopping list for winter and will start gathering supplies and getting organized.

This is a really enjoyable time in Northern Indiana. Football has started, family outings are going on, great weather for a relaxing day at the range and the upcoming hunting season for many of us. A few of our reloading technicians and I spent this past Saturday at a Boy Scout Trap and Skeet fund raiser and even though some of our group doesn’t shoot as much shotgun as we do rifle and handgun it was still a fun day being outside and best of all it raised money for a great outfit – the Boy Scouts of America. In early November some of us will participate in another Boy Scout fundraiser up in Midland, Michigan hosted by the Michigan Rifle and Pistol Association (600 yard match). Look for similar “fun” events in your area. Just think you get to have a fun day shooting in addition to your efforts directly helping some young men at the same time. A lot of these events also provide a great format for introducing a person to shooting!

Hope you have a great and safe month of reloading and shooting ahead. I’m looking forward to talking with you in October.

Good shooting,

Bill Gravatt
