It’s that time of the year for the NRA Annual Meetings. This year the Annual Meetings return to Pittsburgh, PA. Held downtown in the David Lawrence Convention Center, the NRA Annual Meetings feature over a week of activities, meetings, and shows. The main event for most of the attendees is the NRA Exhibition which features suppliers, manufacturers, outdoor organizations, and outfitters. Our booth is right up front near one of the main entry points (Booth #1010). If you get a chance to come to the show please drop our booth to say hello. We’d be honored to meet you and have a special gift for those who stop by. The NRA Exhibition is a great venue for shooters (old and new) and their families. Grab your shooting buddies and plan a quick road trip this weekend. The people of Pennsylvania are outstanding hosts.

We have had several guests at Sinclair’s recently. Two special guests from Berger Bullets were Walt Berger (founder) and Eric Stecker (Executive Vice President). Ken Harrington from Gradient Lens (makers of the Hawkeye Borescope) dropped by for a visit and to work the Brownells Gunsmith Fair partially sponsored by Sinclair International.

We are heading into the heavy part of the competition season this month. Major events in all of the shooting sports begin to kickoff this month whether you are into rifle, handgun, shotgun or 3-Gun. With gas over $4.00 a gallon, we are going to have to plan our trips a little more carefully and grab some friends to share on the gas bill. The first major shoot for Sinclair to attend will be the Firearm’s Industry Super Shoot which we have sponsored and attended for over a quarter of a century.

We are starting to see some indications of price increases ahead for some of the bullet manufacturers. Sierra just informed us that they will be taking an unexpected price increase because of material costs effective May 1.
