Hope you have had a great month reloading, shooting, and enjoying the outdoors – if you live in the parts of the country that are having a mild winter. In addition to taking advantage of the unseasonably pleasant weather here in Indiana to do some shooting, I have also devoted some time to case preparation for the upcoming season of competition shooting.

I spent the past weekend going through my component needs for both rifle and shotgun to determine what my needs will be for the cartridges and firearms I shoot frequently. I started with bullets, worked my way through my primer needs (not getting caught short again!), and then checked the cases for all of my firearms to see if any of them were at the end of their useful life. I found some 308 cases that won’t last the season so ordered another 1000 pieces so I can begin preparing them. Finally, I took an inventory of my powder cabinet. I tend to favor Hodgdon and Vihtavuori powders, so I always make sure I have plenty of Varget, H4895, H4831SC, Vihtavuori N140, N540, N165, and Hodgdon Universal Clays. This is a good point in the winter to check the supplies you will need and stock up – especially when we have sales going on right now on many of your favorite components.

Hopefully, all this preparation will pay off for me this spring, and I can spend more time out shooting instead of locked up reloading at the last minute. I hope you are in the same position come spring.

This is an extremely active time of the year for us in product development at Sinclair. We are currently working on several new Sinclair products that we hope to release later in the year. Our last big project was getting our Sinclair F-Class Bipod with elevation released to the market, and the response has been outstanding. Check our website from time to time for updates or notifications. I’ll make sure to mention them in this letter as well.

Get outside, drill some X’s, break some birds, or take a person new to shooting to the range for a couple of hours. They will certainly appreciate the invite and the unique experience shooting provides.
